PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria-based Midwest Food Bank and another agency are working together to send some help to the people of Ukraine.
The food bank and “Convoy of Hope” are sending 240,000 servings of what they call “Tender Mercies” to Romania in support of Ukranian relief efforts.
They’re packages of rice and beans that are put together in Morton. Convoy of Hope has a warehouse in Poland near the Ukranian border.
The meals will be picked up in Morton Wednesday.
You can help defray the cost of the food shipments. Find out how below.
