PEORIA, Ill. – A Bradley University alum who came back to the school to coach the women’s basketball team is calling it a career.
Coach Andrea Gorski announced her retirement Tuesday after 25 years of coaching, the last six at BU.
The university says Gorski’s teams became the first in Missouri Valley Conference history to produce an improved record in five consecutive seasons.
Gorski leaves Bradley with an 88-90 record, and a 194-149 overall record as a head coach. She was head coach at Concordia University in Michigan, prior to her Bradley tenure.
“I love this place and everything it represents,” Gorski said, in a news release. “I especially love and cherish the players and staff that I have been so very fortunate to coach and work with. This game has given me far more blessings than I deserve.”
Bradley University women’s basketball airs every season on AM 1290 WIRL.
