PEORIA, Ill. – The Stark County man accused of using his in-home tanning bed to try and get nude photos of minors is out of federal custody.
25 News reports Jason Musselman, 34, of Toulon, was released from federal custody after a court appearance in Peoria Tuesday on charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Possession of Child Pornography, and Distribution of Child Pornography.
The charges are similar to ones he already faces in state court.
Musselman — a now-former Toulon City Council Alderman — is accused by at least eight adults of being invited by Musselman to his home to use his tanning bed while they were minors.
Photos of nude children either inside the bed or near it were found on the man’s cell phone and a memory card.
A judge ruled Musselman must remain on home detention and electronic GPS monitoring.
Musselman’s attorney has reportedly filed a motion to dismiss the case.
