PEORIA, Ill. — IDOT has planned to resume road and bridge work that is sure to impact commuters in the coming days.
Transportation officials announced Friday that work on the John T. McNaughton Bridge would resume Monday.
That work will mean significant lane restrictions and slow downs for drivers who commute between Peoria and Pekin on Illinois Route 9.
IDOT did not offer an end date for that project.
At the same time, Monday, resurfacing work on I-474 will create some delays between I-74 and the Airport Road exit west of Peoria.
That work will also close the ramp from Maxwell Road to westbound I-474.
That project is slated to wrap up in October.
