PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria man who caused a standoff with Police Tuesday has made a court appearance, and is pleading not guilty.
Court records indicate Daniel Kolep, 46, pleaded not guilty Thursday to Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
Kolep barricaded himself inside a home on North Machin in the West Bluff after allegedly assaulting a woman before police arrived.
He left after police were able to get a search warrant.
Kolep is jailed on $100,000 bond, and will be back in court on March 16th.
The female suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
