WASHINGTON, Ill. – The decision is made to close the Washington District Library’s Sunnyland branch.
This week, the Washington District Library Board of Trustees voted 4 to 3 to close the branch.
The board agreed to schedule the closure for May, 2023.
Board members hoped to expand service offerings for lower-income families who live in the Washington Number 50 school district.
