PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man accused of killing his daughter at the beginning of the month has been formally indicted on charges of First-Degree Murder.
Court records indicate Shamari Williams, 25, who was arrested after the February 1 death of Emorri Green, 2, is officially being charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder.
That’s what Williams was arrested on, but the case was expected to go before a grand jury nonetheless.
Williams allegedly used his hands and a belt to assault Green.
Williams is jailed on $1 million bond, and will be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
