PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman will not need to serve more time in jail after pleading guilty to shooting at her father last year.
Peoria County Circuit Court records indicate Ronda Frye, 50, pleaded guilty last week to a charge of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and was sentenced to 60 days in jail with day-for-day credit for 30 days served.
Police were called to a Farmington Road bar April 14th of last year for a shooting call. Frye allegedly fired a shot that grazed her then-73-year-old father in the stomach.
He refused to be taken to the hospital.
Frye will have to spend four years on probation once she serves her sentence, and must also undergo mental health and drug addiction treatment.
