TOULON, Ill. – A Stark County man and an elected leader is facing charges for allegedly possessing child pornography.
Illinois State Police say Jason Musselman, 34, was arrested Wednesday on the charge of Possession of Child Pornography.
Troopers say a months-long investigation culminated with a search warrant being being executed, but it’s not clear specifically what was found.
Musselman was taken to the Stark County Jail and will make his first appearance in court Friday.
He represents the Second Ward on the Toulon City Council and is also a firefighter.
State Police say anyone with information about the investigation should call ISP Zone 4 at (309) 693-5015. They also recommend the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber Tip Line.
