PEORIA, Ill — Three men are charged in the wake of a police call and hours-long standoff this weekend.
Peoria Police say it happened during the pre-dawn hours Saturday.
Just before 6:20 a.m., police went to a house on West Arlington Avenue on the south side.
Reports indicated some suspects had barged into the home, one of them carrying a gun, looking for one of the residents inside.
Police say when officers got to the scene, suspects refused to come out and a two-hour standoff ensued.
SWAT officers then gave up negotiation efforts and made entry, taking three men into custody.
They’re identified as 40-year-old Erik Davidson, 46-year-old Wayne Boley, and 39-year-old Billy Braswell.
Davidson faces the most serious charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.
All three were taken to the Peoria County Jail.
