PEORIA, Ill. – A longtime K9 member of the Peoria Police force has passed away.
Peoria Police say on Facebook K9 officer Baron passed away Thursday at the age of ten.
Baron was born September 11, 2011, and joined the force in March of 2013, handled by Officer Justin Mitchell.
Baron retired in January of 2020. He’s being remembered for hundreds of hours of training, and being involved in a number of arrests and seizures.
