PEORIA, Ill. – We’re just now learning about a change in policy regarding extra-curricular activities in Peoria Public Schools that some parents might have already known about, due to the local rise in COVID-19 cases.
PPS says until further notice, only two spectators per athlete will be allowed to attend home sporting events.
They’ll have to let their coach known who the two are, and they’ll have to check in at the admissions table.
Same goes for visiting teams. And, in all cases, masks will be required.
The district says there will be no cheerleaders, dancers, or bands at athletic events as well, all until further notice.
