PEORIA, Ill. — A 29-year-old Peoria woman is now charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence in connection with the wreck that left an East Peoria Police officer seriously injured this week.
Illinois State Police investigators say Ashley List drove her old Plymouth van straight into the back of the police officer’s patrol car Wednesday night.
It happened along I-74 just on the East Peoria side of the Murray Baker Bridge.
Images show the police car caved-in and crunch badly from the rear.
The EPPD officer and the suspect driver were hospitalized with injuries after the crash.
It appears both are still recovering now.
