PEORIA, Ill. – Murder charges are officially being filed against the Peoria man accused of strangling a woman to death and setting her house on fire earlier this month.
Court records indicate Tahir Goodman, Sr., 28, is being indicted on two charges of First-Degree Murder, and one count of Aggravated Arson.
J’Naysia Hobbs, 24, was found inside a burning home on East Virginia in the East Bluff neighborhood December first, and the coroner says she died of strangulation and not because of the fire.
Goodman is in the Peoria County Jail on $2 million bond and will be arraigned Thursday morning.
