CREVE COEUR, Ill. – Another local school district is having to shut down some schools due to COVID-19.
The Creve Coeur School District says on its website LaSalle Elementary and Parkview Middle Schools are closed starting today until next Friday, when the district goes on Winter break.
The district says it’s “due to circumstances provided by COVID-19.”
“We are coordinating our efforts with the Tazewell County Health Department to promptly identify and monitor individuals who have had recent contact with our COVID19 positive individual(s) to prevent further spread within our facility and community,” said Steve Johnson, Superintendent, according to news partner 25 News.
Students in those schools will have to remote learn, and drive-up lunches will be provided.
25 News reports that bus drivers will clean and disinfect their fleet.
