PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say a third suspect in the shooting death of a Manual High School Student has turned herself in.
Police are only saying it’s a juvenile female they are not identifying. She turned herself in Friday, and faces charges of First-Degree Murder and Obstructing Justice.
It’s not clear if she will be tried as an adult.
The female, Jeremy Moore, Jr. 18, and Gary Irby III, 19, all are in custody for their alleged roles in the October 6th death of Jerry Snipes, Jr., 17.
Snipes was pronounced dead at a local hospital after a ShotSpotter alert detected multiple rounds fired in the area of Linn Street and Corrington Avenue.
Police are still looking for witnesses and any video surveillance footage from the shooting, and they say if you can help, call them or Greater Peoria Area Crimestoppers.
