CHICAGO, Ill. — Following Sunday’s disappointing loss, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Chicago Tribune reports Nagy will stay away from the team facility until further notice.
Prior to this weekend’s game, several players tested positive for the virus, including Tight end Jimmy Graham and inside linebacker Caleb Johnson.
On Sunday, Nagy told reporters the team may be required to go into enhanced protocols to avoid a further outbreak.
Under the league’s enhanced protocols, Unvaccinated NFL players are required to miss at least 10 days if they test positive for the virus.
Vaccinated players who test positive are allowed to return to action once they are able to return two negative tests within 24 hours.
The team says special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will run any full team meetings in Nagy’s absence.
