PEORIA, Ill. — After some confusion on if the COVID-19 testing site at the Peoria Civic Center parking lot would return or not, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced Thursday the site will be reopening Friday.
In addition to offering testing, the site will also be offering free vaccinations “regardless of insurance and immigration status will not be asked.”
The site will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The testing site will be located at the same location as before, 698 Fulton St.
With the reopening of the Civic Center testing site, Illinois now has 10 community-based testing sites around the state.
