PEORIA, Ill. — Are you looking for a job?
The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council is putting on a hiring extravaganza on Wednesday, September 1, including 126 local businesses.
The EDC’s Kari Rauh told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show,” participating businesses will be flying purple balloons outside their doors.
“Companies that are actively hiring will be putting out the balloons, signifying that they’re welcoming guests to come in, drop off resumes and apply for a position,” Rauh said.
Some businesses will even be doing on-the-spot interviews on Wednesday.
“It really depends how that particular company is running it (interviews). I would advise that if someone is interested in a job at a specific company, to give them a call,” Rauh said.
