PEORIA, Ill. — It’s unclear what caused an early morning fire Wednesday in Peoria.
Battalion Chief Clint Kuhlman said firefighters were called to the 500 block of Camblin Avenue around 2:40 a.m., where they found smoke coming from a side window.
Once inside, firefighter found fire in the home’s living room.
The fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes.
Seven occupants were not home when the fire started.
There were no injuries reported.
Damage is estimated at $40,000.
