SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Monday said he had “big news” on his Twitter account.
Pritzker’s big news, he announced, was he will be running for a second term after becoming governor in January 2019.
A little more than a year later, Pritzker issued the “stay-at-home” order to attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Big news: I’m running for re-election.
We’ve been through a lot, and I’ve been so proud to see Illinoisans come together during the toughest of times. I’m excited to fight for the state I love with @JulianaforLG, and there’s no limit to what we can do going forward. pic.twitter.com/r5UXILlrb3
