PEORIA, Ill. — There’s a threat of severe weather moving into the Peoria metro area Friday night.
According to 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins, a cluster of potentially severe thunderstorms is expected to approach the area after 8 p.m.
“A few tornadoes are possible, especially southwest of I-74. Damaging winds of 70 miles per hour and quarter inch hail are also possible,” Collins said.
Storms locally may contain heavy rain with a lot of lightning and thunder until after midnight.
