UPDATE 5:30 p.m. 7-9-21 — The driver in the accident that claimed the lives of four Washington residents, including three juveniles, has been identified.
Seth W. Phillips, 47, was driving the Chrysler Pacifica that crossed over I-74 before colliding with a semi.

LOGAN COUNTY, Ill. — Authorities say four people from Washington, including three juveniles, were killed in a Wednesday night car crash in Logan County.
Another juvenile from Washington that was in the same vehicle as the four was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The fatal crash happened at around 10:11 p.m. on Interstate 55 at milepost 122, according to a press release by the Illinois State Police.
The Chrysler Pacifica that was occupied by all five Washington residents was traveling northbound on the interstate when it lost control in heavy rain, skidded across the median and was struck by a semi that was traveling southbound.
The ISP told news partner 25 News that the four occupants of the Pacifica who died, a 47-year-old male, a 16-year-old female, a 17-year-old female and a 17-year-old male, all from Washington, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The juvenile that was transported to the hospital was a 13-year-old female.
The driver of the semi was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
