PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s Tireless Project is back this weekend with its monthly collection of tires.
The project, in its seventh year, is run entirely by volunteers.
This month’s collection will be held Saturday, June 26, from 9-11 a.m., or until the trailer is full.
“You’re allowed to bring the first 10 tires for free, and then we ask for a $1.00 donation for every tire over that, with a maximum cap of 20 tires,” organizer Jim Kosner said.
The monthly tire collections are limited to Peoria residents only.
Customers need to bring proof of residency in the form of a driver’s license, state ID, or property tax statement.
Businesses are prohibited from participating.
Only passenger and truck tires 17″ or less will be accepted. No tires with rims will be allowed.
No oversized, commercial, or agricultural tires will not be accepted.
The Tireless Project’s next tire collection will be Saturday, August 28 from 9-11 a.m.
