PEORIA, Ill. — OSF HealthCare is increasing the company’s minimum wage.
Effective in September, OSF will implement a new compensation structure for some of its hourly employees.
The OSF minimum wage will increase from $12 to $15 per hour, and $16.95 per hour in the Chicago metro region.
“As we think about making sure that all our Mission Partners are compensated fairly, we wanted to look our pay structures again,” said OSF HealthCare CEO Bob Sehring.
This is the third time in six years that OSF HealthCare has raised its minimum wage.
Approximately 7,500 of OSF’s Mission Partners, nearly one-third of its 23,000-plus person workforce, will benefit from the wage increase.
In addition, OSF’s new pay step structure will recognize and reward OSF Mission Partners for their longevity, and will change the way pay rates are determined for these jobs.
“We want to ensure that our Mission Partners are paid fairly for the work that they do,” said Sehring.
