PEORIA, Ariz. — Arizona police confirm one person is dead, three people were wounded and nine others were injured in apparent drive-by shootings over a 90-minute span Thursday in the Phoenix area.
One suspect is in custody, but it’s unclear if that person was responsible for all of the shootings, according to police.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
Law enforcement from Peoria, Surprise and Glendale are investigating shootings in their cities, along with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Peoria Police Spokesman Brandon Sheffert said authorities are investigating at least eight separate shootings.
Four people suffered gunshot wounds, and one victim has died.
