PEORIA, Ill. — Strong to severe storms are a possibility for the Peoria area Friday night.
“We’ll see showers and storms throughout the day. The severe weather threat is low until this (Friday) evening,” 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said.
After 7 p.m., clusters of thunderstorms are expected to emerge and continue after midnight.
“An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out, but damaging winds of 70-75 miles per hour is the primary threat. And, locally, heavy rain is also possible,” Collins said.
