PEORIA, Ill. — A large cluster of storms, that could be strong to severe, are expected to move into the Peoria area late Thursday night.
“Although they will carry plenty of lightning and thunder, the primary threat of these storms will be damaging winds,” 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said.
The storms are associated with a warm front that is expected to drive high temperatures into the mid 90s locally Friday afternoon.
“Although we don’t want severe weather, we need the rain as Peoria is running a two inch deficit this month,” Collins said.
