PEORIA, Ill. — On the same day Illinois moved into Phase 5 of Restore Illinois, the Peoria City/County Health Department reported just four new COVID-19 cases across the tri-county area.
Woodford County reported two new cases, while Peoria and Tazewell counties reported just one each.
One new death was reported from the virus, as a Peoria County man in his 60s succumbed to the virus.
ICU bed usage increased by one compared to Thursday, but non-ICU bed usage for the virus patients decreased by nine.
The positivity rate in Region 2 of Illinois is just 1.2%, and ICU bed capacity is up to 26%.
