SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Thursday reported 62,268 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered Wednesday in the state.
That is an uptick from the current daily seven-day average of 49,572 doses.
IDPH Thursday also reported 366 new cases of COVID-19, including 18 additional deaths.
Hospitalizations due to the virus in Illinois continue their downward descent as 764 patients were hospitalized as of Wednesday night.
Of those, 209 patients were in the ICU and 103 were on ventilators.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate is 1.3%.
