CHICAGO — Illinois health officials reported 342 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, including 37 deaths.
Additionally, over 68% percent of Illinois adults have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose and over 51% are fully vaccinated, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of Saturday night, 792 people in Illinois were reportedly hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 212 patients were in the ICU and 117 patients were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate is 1.2%.
Due to state metrics performing well, Gov. JB Pritzker announced last week the state will move to Phase 5 of Restore Illinois Friday, June 11.
