PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department Wednesday reported no new COVID-19 deaths in the tri-county area for a second straight day.
Overall, 31 new cases were reported throughout the area. Peoria County reported 16 new cases, Tazewell County reported nine new cases, and Woodford County reported six new cases.
Tri-county hospitalizations were up slightly, as three more ICU beds were in use Wednesday compared to Tuesday.
Non-ICU beds in use remained the same.
In Region 2 of Illinois, the positivity rate and ICU bed capacity remained the same at 2.7% and 21%, respectively.
Hospitalizations in the region decreased by six in the last 24 hours.
