SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Friday reported a seven-day statewide COVID-19 test positivity of 3.1%.
That rate has continued its downward descent after being 3.4% at the beginning of the week.
IDPH also reported more than 50,000 vaccine doses were administered Thursday in the state. The seven-day rolling average of vaccines administered daily is just over 72,000 doses.
A total of 1,841 new cases of the virus were reported Friday, including 49 additional deaths.
As of Thursday night, more than 10.2 million vaccines have been administered statewide.
