SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Tuesday reported the state has surpassed 10 million vaccine doses administered.
More than 58,000 doses were reported to have been administered Monday throughout Illinois.
IDPH also reported 1,562 new cases of COVID-19, including 26 additional deaths.
As of Monday night, 1,930 Illinoisans were hospitalized with the virus. Of those, 489 were in the ICU and 261 were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity from May 4-10 is at 3.3%
Over the last seven days, the state is averaging more than 83,000 vaccine doses administered daily.
