UPDATE 4:10 P.M. — Peoria Fire Department fire investigators have determined the fire early Monday morning at the Women’s Care Clinic was arson.
The fire is now estimated to have caused $250,000 in damage, as opposed to the $70,000 reported initially.
The investigation is on-going.

PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters were called around 2:40 a.m. Monday to the 7300 block of N. University on reports of a fire.
When crews arrived, they found fire in the front of the Women’s Care Clinic.
Assistant Fire Battalion Chief Aaron Meuser said most of the damage was contained to the front of the building.
Damage was estimated at $70,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No one was injured.
