SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A total of 2,049 Illinoisans between Sunday and Monday found out they have COVID-19.
28 people during that time died.
A number of pharmacies during the reporting period did not record their vaccination numbers, so Monday’s 24-hour total was only 16,920. The Illinois Department of Public Health said pharmacy numbers would be added to the totals throughout the coming days.
Hospitalizations as of Sunday night totaled 1,963. 479 of those hospitalized patients were in intensive care, while 249 were using ventilators to breathe.
Labs collected 49,473 specimens to be tested.
