PEORIA, Ill. — A total of 10 Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford County residents between Friday and Monday passed away from COVID-19.
Woodford County reported two men died, one of whom was in his 40s, and the other was in his 70s.
In Peoria County, two women in their 70s died, as did a man in his 60s and a man in his 90s.
Tazewell’s deaths were all of women: two in their 70s, and two in their 80s. One of the women in her 80s lived at Washington Senior Living.
In total, 332 tri-county residents tested positive. 199 live in Peoria, 92 live in Tazewell, and 41 are Woodford residents.
Hospitalizations took a jump from Friday to Monday, from 142 to 155. 40 of the 155 were in intensive care, down from Friday’s 46.
Region Two’s numbers on Monday were comparable to Friday’s metrics. ICU bed availability remained at the same 16% it’s been since nearly two weeks ago.
Both rolling seven-day positivity and the number of overall hospitalizations had slight upticks.
