PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to the area of the 1400 block of SW Adams St. around 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning regarding a ShotSpotter alert.
Dispatch then informed police of several ShotSpotter alerts indicating multiple rounds fired in the 1900 block of SW Adams.
Police found one victim at the scene, an adult female, who was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries due to a gunshot wound to the torso.
A second victim, an adult male, arrived at a local hospital in his private vehicle. According to Public Information Officer Amy Dotson, he suffered a gunshot wound to his hand.
Information gathered at the scene, according to Dotson, indicated there was a large altercation outside that resulted in shots fired.
Andrew McCrimmon, 25, was later arrested for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and No FOID.
A second suspect, Shamir Lindsay, 27, was arrested for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
Both were taken to Peoria County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
