SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois has reached the 9 million mark for coronavirus vaccines administered.
The 106,173 doses given to residents between Tuesday and Wednesday were slightly above the 100,823 daily average for the last seven days.
A total of 2,278 people during the reporting period found out they have the virus. 33 died.
Hospitalizations statewide as of Tuesday night were at 2,154 people. 502 of those patients were in intensive care, and 238 were on ventilators.
Testing remained high, as 87,698 specimens were taken Tuesday by labs throughout the state.
