PEORIA, Ill. — Three residents of the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county passed away between Wednesday and Thursday from COVID-19.
Two were from Peoria County: a man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s. The other resided in Woodford County, who was a woman in her 80s.
220 residents tested positive. 129 of them live in Peoria, 75 reside in Tazewell, and the other 16 live in Woodford.
Overall hospitalizations decreased from 174 to 167. 46 of the 167 as of Thursday afternoon were in intensive care.
Metrics for Region Two of Illinois looked marginally better overall Thursday than they did on Wednesday, though far from desirable.
Only 16% of ICU beds as of Thursday were open, down from 17%.
Rolling seven-day positivity dropped to 6.6%, while 295 COVID patients throughout the region were hospitalized, a decrease of one.
