SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Wednesday reported the seven-day test positivity in Illinois is down to 4.4%, continuing the recent trend.
IDPH Wednesday also reported 2,765 new cases of COVID-19, including 28 additional deaths.
As of Tuesday night, 2,191 Illinoisans were hospitalized with the virus. Of those, 521 were in the ICU and 237 were on ventilators.
In addition, more than 140,000 vaccine doses were administered Tuesday in Illinois, bringing the state’s total to more than 8.3 million.
