SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Friday reported more than 166,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered Thursday throughout the state.
The state continues to average just under 130,000 doses administered daily.
IDPH also reported 3,866 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 21 additional deaths.
As of Thursday night, 2,058 Illinoisans were hospitalized with the virus. Of those, 468 were in the ICU and 205 were on ventilators.
Preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity did fall back under 5% and currently sits at 4.9%.
More than 93,000 people were tested in the last 24 hours for the virus.
