SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Thursday reported a one-day record 154,201 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday.
Overall, more than 6.7 million doses have now been administered.
IDPH Thursday also reported 3,739 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 34 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity continues to creep upwards and is now at 4.8%.
As of Wednesday night, 1,798 patients were in Illinois hospitals with the virus. Of those, 351 were in the ICU and 151 were on ventilators.
Laboratories in the state Wednesday collected nearly 100,000 specimens for testing.
