PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were on the scene Monday night of a gunshot with injury.
Officers were called around 8:30 to the 500 block of Gift Ave.
There, a man was initially said to be shot in the chest, though later reports indicated the victim was hit in the groin area.
Eyewitnesses said he was shot while inside his house from a car passing by, and they heard five shots fired.
The witnesses said they expected him to survive.
No suspects were initially named.
