PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics responded to reports of a house fire at 409 Tracy St. early Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, crews saw light smoke and fire coming from the rear of the home.
The fire was controlled within three minutes, according to Battalion Chief Ralph Phillips.
One individual who was asleep was still inside at the time of the fire but sustained no injuries and required no medical attention.
The fire was started by unattended food left on the stove, causing the kitchen to sustain fire damage. There was also smoke damage throughout the home.
No injuries were reported.
