PEKIN, Ill. — What began Thursday morning as an apparent attempt at an armed robbery evolved into a car chase and finished with a foot chase and capture.
Pekin Police responded a little before 5:00 to reports from the Court St. McDonald’s about a person who went through the drive-thru and pointed a gun at employees through the window, demanding cash.
No cash was exchanged and no bullets were fired, but the suspect fled the scene.
Pekin Police alerted East Peoria Police, who found the vehicle and began to chase it, before it crashed.
The suspect fled on foot before eventually being captured.
