SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Wednesday reported the state has surpassed 5 million vaccine doses administered.
107,219 doses were administered Tuesday in Illinois.
IDPH Wednesday also reported 2,793 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 20 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity is now above 3% at 3.1%.
As of Tuesday night, 1,261 patients were in Illinois hospitals with the virus. Of those, 269 were in the ICU and 130 were on ventilators.
