PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department Wednesday reported an increase of six area hospital patients with COVID-19.
ICU usage saw an increase of three and is now up to 12 patients.
The Peoria City/County Health Department also reported an increase of 167 COVID-19 cases throughout the tri-county area of Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties.
Peoria County saw an increase of 108 cases, Tazewell County saw an increase of 38, and Woodford County’s total increased by 21.
No new deaths were reported Wednesday by the health department.
On a regional level, Region 2 had yet another day of COVID-19 hospitalization increases. It’s the fifth straight day the region has seen an increase and the seventh day out of the last eight.
Positivity rate and ICU capacity did remain steady throughout the region at 3.6% and 28%, respectively.
