PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department Monday reported no new tri-county area deaths due to COVID-19 over the weekend.
Hospital usage in the area did increase, going from 32 Friday to 37 Monday.
Three more patients are in area ICU beds compared to Friday.
Overall, 185 new cases were reported over the weekend with the overwhelming majority of them being in Peoria County.
140 new cases were reported in Peoria, 34 cases were reported in Woodford, and 11 new cases were reported in Tazewell.
Overall, all key metrics in Region 2 of Illinois are continuing to head in the wrong direction.
Seven-day positivity rate has increased to 3.5%, up from just over 3% Friday.
There has also been increases in hospitalized patients throughout the region in five of the last six days.
ICU bed capacity is at 28%, up slightly from 27% over the weekend.
