SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Saturday reported 1,962 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, including 25 additional deaths.
In the past 24 hours, laboratories have collected 77,661 specimens for testing.
As of Friday night, 1,179 individuals were hospitalized due to COVID-19. 228 patients with coronavirus were in the ICU, and 103 patients were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity rate from March 13-19, 2021, was 2.8%.
120,426 vaccination doses were administered Friday.
